WAIRARAPA COLLEGE

BUILDING OF CLOAK ROOMS. The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa College Parents’ Association was held during the week, Mr A. Owen Jones presiding over a full attendance. Mr Hancox (Principal) stated that the quadrangular Rugby match between Scots College, Dannevirke High School. Hutt Valley High School, and Wairarapa College would be held in Masterton on August 17 and 19. As there would be about 60 boys to billet. Mr Hancox said he would like all those parents who could do so to billet a boy, particularly those whose boys had enjoyed the hospitality of parents in other districts. It was decided that the next most essential work to be carried out was the building of cloak rooms on to the assembly hall. Mr Hancox stated that these were most urgently required and the proceeds from the College annual concert to be held on August 7 and 8 would be donated to this work. Accounts amounting to £27 15s 3d were passed for payment.
