OBITUARY MR ALFRED DAYSH. (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred yesterday of Mr Alfred Daysh. of Chester Road, Carterton. a well-known resident of the district. The late Mr Daysh was born at Taita, Wellington, 86 years ago and came to the Wairarapa in his early life and had since resided on his farm property at Clareville. He was one . of the directors of the Taratahi Dairy Co. and was an active member of the Taratahi Racing Club, later the Cartertoil Racing Club. He was also a member of the old Taratahi Road Board. Mr Daysh was one of those responsible for the erection of the Clareville Hall, which was blown down . in the severe gale a few years ago. He was an active and staunch supporter of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society and of any cause which had the advancement of the district as its objective. Tire last member of a family of fourteen, Mr Daysh is survived by five sons and three daughters. The daughters are Mesdames E. Phelps (Somerset Road), M. McLean (Carterton), Mrs McNeigh (Greytown) and the sons Messrs Henry. Alfred, Walter, Charles and Victor (all of Carterton). One son, Mi’ Lovell Daysh, served in the last war and has since passed away. A daughter, Mrs Abbot, also predeceased him, besides his wife, who died in 1929. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the late residence following a service to be held at 1 pm., for the Clareville Cemetery. Personal Items. Mr Jno. Hart, of Taylor Street, Carterton, celebrated his 88th birthday on Wednesday. Two Wellington students. Messrs C. W. Wadham, son of Mr.JW. Wadham, Brooklyn Road, Carterton, and W. R.
