Earl McCready beat Dan O’Connor on points after a bout going the full scheduled eight rounds. O'Connor registered a fall in round five, with a step-over toehold. In round seven McCready equalized with a flying body scissors. Each man wont full out in the final round, with McCready the aggressor, and he won the contest with a small margin in his favour.
