PAHIATUA SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua weekly sale held at the saleyards as follows: —A fair yarding of sheep and dairy cattle was offered to the public and was disposed of at auction at prices satisfactory to vendors. All classes of sheep sold freely at late rates, while dairy cows of quality close to prefit were keenly sought after. Quotations: —Sheep. 2th wethers 23s 6d, ewe hoggets (small), 20s 3d, w. hoggets 20s 9d. 20s 3d. 20s, shorn w hoggets 17s 7d, cull ewes, 14s Id. Dairy cows, close to profit (good), gtd sound. £l5 15s, £l4. £l3 10s. to £lO 10s, later calvers £9 10s to £9.
