A woman went into a Napier drapery establishment and placed an order. When the order had been fixed the following list ol' instructions was given for the benefit of tlie boy who was to deliver the goods: "When the boy gets there toll him Io open Hie gate. !(o inside and loci; in the letter-box. Tin re he will find a bone, which he is to give to the dog. The dog will not then bite tlie boy and he can deliver the parcel.’
