TUSSLE IN HOUSE
INCIDENT AT TAURANGA. MAN FACES SERIOUS CHARGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAURANGA. This Day. The screaming of children and shots from a gun disturbed the residents of Durhem Street at 7 o'clock last evening. Joe and Allan Faulkner rushed into the residence of Mr C. T. Mabey and found him struggling with and endeavouring to wrest a gun from his sen-in-law, Andrew Ferguson. Mr S. Snowden, who lives nearby, also rushed in and escorted Ferguson to the Police Station. Mr Mabey, who is elderly, suffered no injury. In the Police Court this morning Andrew Ferguson was charged with discharging a double-barrelled shotgun at Charles Thomas Mabey. with intent to do grievous bodily harm, also with presenting a firearm at Mabey. On the application of the police accused was remanded till. August 2.
