IN AID OF LOCAL RED CROSS FUNDS. The depot at “The Pig in the Window’” Perry Street, has been very busy handling the large quantities of material that have been brought in for the Paddy's- market in aid of the local Red Cross Funds. The only scarcity so far is for the meat stall. Intending donors in country districts who have not so far given and wish to do so are urged to give meat, cakes and cream. Many prizes of considerable value have been given by the business people of Masterton towards the surprise packets to bo sold at Is each by .he Savage Club on Friday. All the schools are very busy, also, under the direction of the head teachers and staffs. All types of goods are being brought by the children for the Primary Schools’ Stall, which should be well stocked with goods of alt kinds. This is a special effort by the schools and it is receiving whole-hearted support from pupils and parents.
