FUND FOR PLANE
PATRIOTIC EFFORT IN SAMOA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) APIA, July 29. A meeting of citizens considered a proposal by the United Progressive Party that funds should be raised in Western Samoa to buy or help to buy an aeroplane as a gift to the Royal Air Force from Samoa. The initial effort will be to raise £5OOO by subscription but if that sum is not obtained whatever is collected will be given toward the cost of the plane.
