POLISH OFFICER
EXPERIENCE IN BRITISH BOMBER I ENGAGED IN SUCCESSFUL ATTACK. TRIBUTE TO EFFICIENCY OF CREW. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright' (Received This Day. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 28. A high Polish Air Force officer has given his impressions after being taken as ?. member of a crew on an R.A.F. operational flight over Germany. The aircraft in which he was flying was one which successfully attacked an aircraft factory at Gotha and which also shot down a Messerschmitt 109. The Polish officer said his strongest impression was the perfect collaboration of the crew. “Despite poor weather conditions.’’ he said, “the navigation was very exact and we wore over our target practically to the minute on the estimated time of arrival which had been set in advance.’’ He described the successful bombing of the aircraft factory and added: “I am very glad to have had the opportunity of taking part in this raid, for I have seen something of what the Germans have done to us in my own country.”
