SUCCESSFUL SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on the annual sale of Major R. A. Wilson’s “Mahoe” stud Friesian cattle at Turakina as follows:—The cattle came forward in better order than in past years and were most favourably com mented on. Bidding was spirited for the females but a few of the yearling bulls failed to reach their reserve, r being too early in the season for the sale of this young stock. The top price heifer. “Mahoe Talowa Bay,” was sold to J. H. Bartlett. Mangaonoho. for 37/ guineas; Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. as agents for Messrs Bruce Bros., Maromaku, North of Whangarei, taking “Mahoe Abuker Bay” at 34| guinea l and the Matarawa Land Company. Tokoroa, Waikato, purchasing “Mahoe Lochgail” at 331 guineas, while L. S Gallon, Carterton, paid 30 guineas foi “Mahoe Morecambe Bay.” In the bulls Mr J. Frew. Ohau, paid 40 guineas foi “Mahoe Galway Bay” and Messrs Marshall and Pickford, Marton, took “Mahoe Byron Bay” at 36 guineas. Mrs A. Lover, Rangiotu; E. C. Cottle, Masterton; R. Young, Aramoho; J. Kendall. Wanganui East; F. Farmer, Glen Oroua; W. A. Mayle, Feilding; W. A. Kyle, Aokautere; H. F. Mitchell, Sanson; W. Harvey, Upper Tutaenui; Geo. Harvey, Rata; J. Barber, Foxton; S. W. Morrison, Marton; R. Ellis, Rata; and W. S. Long, Shannon, were also among the purchasers.
