AJOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the Rating Act. 1925, the Castlepoint County Council intends at its next meeting to make and levy for the year commencing the Ist day of April, 1940, and ending the 31st day of March, 1941, the following general rates on the Capital Value (reduced by twenty-five per centum thereof under Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act, 1933) of all rateable property as appearing on the valuation rolls for the County of Castlepoint for the said period:— IN THE NORTH RIDING, a General Rate of two pence (2d) in the Pound. IN THE SOUTH RIDING, a General Rate of one and seven-sixteenths of a penny (1.7-16 d in the Pound. IN THE EAST RIDING, a General Rate of one and nine-sixteenths 1.9-16 d) in the Pound. IN THE WEST RIDING, a General Rate of pne and seven-eighths of a penny (lgd) in the Pound. And also to collect so much of the annual recurring Special Rates on the capital valuation as reduced as aforesaid as is necessary to meet the annual charges thereof. Such General and Special Rates to be payable at the County Office, Tinui, in one sum on the 16th day of August, 1940, and that a rebate of 3:1% of the General Rates be allowed if the demand is paid in full within 30 days of the date thereof.
