INDOOR BASKETBALL
MASTERTON COMPETITION. MANY EXCITING GAMES. Many exciting games were witnessed last evening when a further round of games was played in the Indoor Basketball competition. There were several surprises amongst them being C. Smith team holding Hugo and Shearers to a draw. W.F.C.A. defeating Woolworths by a penalty goal; State Kitchenette beating Garage's and the defeat of Hosiery Mills by Cathies, and in the men’s section the defeat of the State Kitchenette by Reliance A. The following are the detailed results: — Ladies’ A Grade. W.F.C.A. 5 (scorers. A. Keisenberg 1, E. Jones 4); Woolworths 4 (P. Hanley 2, A. Stains 2). Hospital 6 (Nurse Bowlands 2. C. Moylan 4): Rovers 2 (B. Bennington). Stock and Station Agents 18 (J. Gemmell 14. M. Greenlees 4), Y.M.C.A. 4 (F. Bellis). Hugo and Shearers 2 (J. Jones), drew with C. Smiths 2 (M. Julias). Ladies’ B Grade. Cathies 5 (E. Harding 4. E. Thomos 1); Hosiery Mills (L. O'Neil 2). McKenzies 20 (N. Hargood 12, J. Grim wood 4, J. Cross 4), Grahams 8 (H. McDonald 8). State Kitchenette 4 (N.
