The Federal Premier (Mr Menzies) informed the Australasian Council of Trades Unions that because of delay in reaching an agreement, the Government proposes to abandon the plan of a conference of Federal unions for trade unions advisory panels, and to adopt the proposals submitted to the Government by a number of individual unions.
