RETURN TO AFRICA. STATEMENT IN HOUSE OF COMMONS. (British Offiicial Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) RUGBY, July 24. Asked in the House of Commons whethei - he was able to make a statement about the situation in Abyssinia and. the position of Haile Selassie, Mr R. A. Butler (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs) said: “The Emperor of Abyssinia has returned to Africa. A.s regards the situation in Ethiopia. it would be premature to make any statement, at the present time."
