A message from Stockholm says that Finland is reported to have accepted a new Russian ultimatum demanding complete demobilisation of her army. The demobilisation, it is stated, is proceeding. Several members of the Finnish General Staff are reported to have fled to Sweden. A Moscow message says Russia denies that she has undertaken to deliver planes to England. A report that she is opening negotiations for a trade treaty with Turkey is denied, and denial is also given to the report that she presented a Note to Rumania asking for a democratic Government.
BALTIC STATES POLICY OF INCORPORATION IN RUSSIA. ACTION IN LITHUANIA AND LATVIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) MOSCOW, July 24. The Lithuanian and Latvian Parliaments have each appointed 20 delegates to go to Moscow to request the Soviet to arrange for the incorporation of their countries in Russia. Lithuania passed a decree nationalising the banks and the larger industries. Estonia has decreed that all the land is the property of the people. The Supreme Council of the U.S.S.R. will meet on August 1 to consider the incorporation of the Baltic States.
