EIGHTY RAIDS
ON MALTA SINCE OUTBREAK OF WAR MANY ITALIAN MACHINES BROUGHT DOWN. ONLY ONE R.A.F. PLANE LOST. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) LONDON, July 24. There have been 80 air raids on Malta since Italy’s entry into the war, but damage to military objectives has been small. Twelve Italian planes have been brought down and nine severely damaged. The R.A.F. lost one plane.
