SOMETHING FOR BREAKFAST
SAVOURY GIRDLE CAKES. Beat 2 egg-yolks with 121 cups milk, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste. Gradually beat in 1.; cups sifted flour, then 1 dessertspoon melted butter. Now add 1J cups grated potato, 1 tablespoon shredded and fried bacon and 1 teaspoon chopped parsley. Beat the whites until stiff and fold into batter. Bake at once on a hot griddle and serve at once.
