BADMINTON
WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION . INTERCLUB COMPETITION. MATCH TO BE PLAYED TONIGHT. Considerable interest is being taken in the match to be played tonight in the St Matthew’s Parish Hall between the Red Star and St Matthew’s Badminton Clubs in the Wairarapa Association’s competition. As St Matthew’s is the only unbeaten team in the competition a win over Stars will make St Matthew's winners of the competition. Failing a win, a playoff will be necessary between Masterton, Red Star and St Matthew’s. The following will represent St Matthew's: Miss N. C. Richards, Mrs N. W. Ninnes, Misses Russell, B. Boyd, Johnston, Munroe; Messrs C. J. Carle, N. W. Ninnes, N. Cameron, W. L. Harrington, H. Volheim, R. Peters. MATCH AT PAHIATUA. St Matthew’s Badminton Club is to play a return match with Pahiatua on Saturday. Members will meet at the Parish Hall at 5.30 o’clock on Saturday. The team is as follows:—Misses Richards, Boyd, Baird, Russell, Munroe. Smith and Mrs Ninnes; Messrs Carle, Ninnes, Cameron, Volheim, Harrington, R. Peters. R. Doggett, I. Peter, W. Marchbanks, S. L. Hatch.
