YOUTH FATALLY INJURED TOBOGGAN HITS ROCKS. NURSE SENT TO HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, July 24. A youth received fatal injuries and a Wanganui nurse injuries which necessitated her entering hospital when a toboggan on which they were riding cn Mt Ruapehu hit a rock and went over a six-loot drop, landing on more rocks. They were: — Thomas Brian Ccnlan, aged 18, a son of Mr Thomas Ccnlan, -farmer, Tunakotekotc. Miss N. McDannald, Canada, employed in Belverdale Private Hospital, Wanganui. Ccnlan was taken to Taumarunui Hospital with a fractured thigh and ether injuries. An operation was performed, but his condition became weaker and he died. Miss McDannald, who is in Belverdale Hospital, was reported tonight to be making a satisfactory recovery.
