FRENCH SHIPS
STATEMENT BY FOREIGN MINISTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright I (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) VICHY. July 19. | M. Baudouin (Foreign Minister), amplifying his recent statement, said: “Information from London suggests that Britain is not disposed to release French ships. Plainly no bargaining is possible, because France is at present preoccupied with keeping her pledges under the armistice. France is not responsible for whatever may be the outcome of the British attitude."
