EARLY SUMMER HOLIDAYS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. July 19. All schools in certain parts of the eastern defence region of England and also boarding schools throughout the same region are closing immediately for the summer holidays. The Minister of National Service, Mr Bevin, is taking measures to ensure that hospitals and other medical services shall be adequately staffed by doctors. Compulsion will be invoked only when necessary, and directions at present will be given only to doctors who are within the first two years of their qualification.
