CLOSER RELATIONS

BETWEEN NEW ZEALAND & AUSTRALIA. MR SULLIVAN'S ANTICIPATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) BRISBANE, July 14. “I am looking forward to the development of closer relations in every sphere, including defence and trade between New Zealand and Australia, said the New Zealand Minister of Supply, Mr Sullivan, before leaving Brisbane, after spending two days in consultation with State officials. “We are one people,” he said. I found everywhere great interest in New Zealand and keen desire to draw closer in the hour of crisis. My contacts here have been most helpful and I have made arrangements for Australia to assist New Zealand by supplying materials where a shortage is causing anxiety.”
