The squad of raw recruits were very raw. Even the simple orders "Right turn” and “I,eft turn" meant just nothing to them. After various efforts the n.c.o. got them halted and eyed them sadly. "It's no use." he said, “it's not a drill instructor you want —it's a sheepdog!”
