A Double to Royal Star 11. At Trentham. on Saturday, Royal Star II repeated his first day’s win in the Winter Oats in similar style. He drew the rails, and hopping out smartly was never headed once they settled down. Lady Tinkle had moved up handy round the home turn and she challenged the leader in the straight, but never had any chance of getting to him. Wagner, always prominent in the running, hung on for third against the fast-finishing Kena. who. was well back and in trouble in the early running and looked unlucky. Nothing else had any chance. Ned Cuttie was handy enough, to have come on and Hunting Royal made a fruitless bid round the turn, the nearest to the placed horses being Erlick, Skyway and Lady Montana.
Winning Owners. Mr J. B. Fletcher, with the two wins of Royal Star 11., headed the list of winning owners for the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham, which concluded on Saturday, with £B4O.
