GOLD MINING

COMPANY RETURNS. The "Worksop Extended dredge returned 51)07. fcr 160 hours from 12,000 yards. The New River return totalled 440 z for 123 hours from 11.800 yards. The- White's Electric dredge returned IGoz fcr the period ended July 11. Alexander Mines, Ltd., reports the following gold returns for the month of June: —Battery department: 170 tons of ere crushed for 38oz of melted gold. Cyanide department 190 tons of sands treated for 350 z of bullion. Total estimated value: £5OO. In addition, five tens cf concentrates were saved, valued at £240. In estimating the above values gold has bee-n taken at 160 s per fine ounce. The Argo Dredge return was 28oz for 126 hours from 11.000 yards.
