NO JOINT DEFENCE OF IRELAND MR DE VALERA REJECTS SCHEME. DECLARATION BY LORD CRAIGAVON. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) BELFAST, July 11. Lord Craigavon, in a speech in Parliament, said Mr de Valera had definitely rejected the joint defence scheme. Therefore the matter had ended. Northern Ireland was standing by Britain to the end.
