HIBERNIAN SOCIETY
DANCE AND CARD PARTY.
ENJOYABLE GATHERING.
The Masterton Hibernian Society held another dance and card tournament in St Patrick's Hall last evening when there was a good attendance. The dancing went with a swing to excellent music supplied by Mr J. Barnes's Rhythm Boys Band. Extras were played by Miss N. Clarke.
The Monte Carlo competition was won by Miss J. Floyd and Mr M. Graham and the lucky spot waltz by Miss M. Hannah and Mr C. Marsh. Messrs T. Apa and J. F. McDonald were the M.'sC. The card tournament winners were: Ladies' first prize. Mrs Jorgensen; consolation, Mrs McDonald. Men s first prize. Mr D. Talbot: consolation, Mr R. Gerrand. These gatherings are increasing in popularity.
