MILK DELIVERIES

ZONING SYSTEM BEING ADOPTED IN MASTERTON. COMMENCING NEXT MONTH. Proposals for the zoning of milk deliveries in Masterton are now being considered by local vendors. The adoption of a zoning scheme has been requested by the authorities in order to conserve petrol. The town has been divided into nine blocks, corresponding approximately to the present amount of milk supplied by each of the nine vendors involved. It is stated that the scheme has been practically approved by the vendors, and it is likely to come into operation at the beginning of next month. Under this arrangement householders, it appears, will have to accept the milk supplied by the vendor- allotted to their area.
