VAST MINEFIELD
4 LAID FROM ORKNEYS TO ICELAND BRITISH ADMIRALTY ANNOUNCEMEN i. CHANNEL LEFT FOR PEACEFUL VESSELS. The Admiralty announces, Daventry reports, the laying of a vast new minefield from the Orkneys to Iceland and Greenland, a distance of 1000 miles. German vessels coming through this area are liable to be blown up. A channel has been left for peaceful vessels between the northern tip of Scotland and the Orkneys.
