SECRET SESSION
CARRIED TO CONCLUSION YESTERDAY ALL POSSIBLE HELP PROMISED TO BRITAIN. FINANCIAL DEBATE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The secret sitting of the House of Representatives was continued yesterday, when further discussion took place on New Zealand’s war effort. Twenty-one members participated in yesterday's discussion, which occupied the afternoon and evening. The House adjourned at 10.25 p.m. till this afternoon, when the financial debate will be resumed. Before the House adjourned last night the following resolution was carried unanimously:— “That this House expresses to the Government, Parliament, and the people of the United Kingdom the firm intention of the Dominion of New Zealand to devote every effort and to utilise every available resource to assist the Mother Country in the great struggle that is now proceeding; and reaffirms the unalterable determination of the Dominion to continue this struggle side by side with the United Kingdom and the other members of the British Commonwealth till the final victory is attained.”
