BERLIN’S LATEST
THE BOGUS BARRY MESSAGE. MR CHURCHILL ACCUSED! (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) LONDON, July 8. A Berlin radio message blames Mr Winston Churchill for the faked S.O.S. message allegedly emanating from the United States destroyer Barry and reporting that she was sinking. The broadcast declares that Mr Churchill 1 wanted to launch another Athenia affair. but failed miserably, but he forgot to include the Barry’s call sign letters in the message.
