GOLD MINING
COMPANY RETURNS. The directors of Wellington Alluvials, Ltd., report that during the four weeks ended June 22, the dredge worked 398 hours, handling 227,000 cubic yards of material, and recovered bullion estimated to contain 1092 ounces of fine gold. During the period mechanical delays, amounting to 188 hours occurred, including 99 hours rebuilding the screen. For the period June 27 to July 5, the Clutha River dredge recovered 550 z of gold for 167 hours.
