RED CROSS SOCIETY
HOSPITAL SUPPLIES GROUP. SEWING MEETING. There was a large attendance at the sewing meeting held in Messrs Hugo and Shearers’ Oak Room yesterday. It was decided to sew on Thursday of this week and on both Monday and Thursday next week to enable an extra supply of articles to be made in case of local emergency. Mesdames Dallas, Lyttle, Dickel and Butler were appointed a committee to arrange for the sewing meeting to be held on. July 22, when the group will make garments for the Lady Galway' Guild. The convenors wish to thank the following for donations: —Miss N. M. Daniell £1; Mrs G. R. Croll, new material; Mrs Cody and staff, Mesdames Alexander. Morris, Dallas, Cooper, H. J. Jones, J. Bird. S. V. Gooding, J. Reid (Te Kopi). Misses A. Brown and J. Cooper for linen and gifts for the Paddy's Market.
