WEDDINGS
REYNOLDS—ADAMS. On Saturday morning a quiet wedding was solemnised at the Church of the Epiphany, Masterton, when Winifred Maude, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs L. G. S. Adams, Masterton, was married to lan Archibald, younger son of Mr and the late Mrs P. C. Reynolds, of Masterton. The Rev. T. V. Pearson officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a smart navy costume with navy turban and shoes. Her bouquet was of anenomes and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Elizabeth, who wore a petrel blue frock trimmed with gold, and navy hat ana shoes. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Gunner L. G. T. Adams, N.Z.A.. After the ceremony Mrs Adams entertained relatives and close friends at morning tea. TUNNICI.IFFE— TIIDESLEY. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Methodist Church, Carterton, last Saturday, the marriage of Jean Ellen, second daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Tildesley, Carterton, to Eric Nelson, eldest son of Mr and Mrs G. N. Tunniclifle, Havelock North took place. The officiating minister was the Rev J. A. Daglish and Miss R. Tunnicliffe, aunt of the bridegroom, presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked Charming in a gown of parchment satin, made on simple lines with long fitting sleeves, which were finished with tiny satin buttons, as was also the back of the bodice. The skirt, which was flared, fell into a graceful train. A lovely tulle veil held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms formed a second train, on which Lovers'-Knots were embroidered The bride also carried a bouquet of lilies and maidenhair-fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Margaret Pauling (chief), and Miss Doris Tildesley, sister of the bride, were frocked alike in Marina blue georgette over taffeta with rucked sleeves and bodices. They wore matching tulle shoulder veils, caught on the top of the head with pink flowers, and carried bouquets of pink cyclamens, freesias, roses and maidenhair-fern. Each bridesmaid was the recipient of a gold bracelet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was assisted by Mr R. Waterson. Hastings, as best man, and Mr N. Tunnicliffe. brother of the bridegroom, as groomsman. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a satin horse shoe by her little nephew, Trevor Tildesley. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride’s parents, where Mrs Tildesley and Mrs Tunnicliffe received their guests. Mrs Tildes-, ley wore a two-piece suit in a clover colour, with fox fur, and navy accessories. Her shoulder spray was in matching shades of clover. Mrs Tunnicliffe was attired in a navy frock with fox fur and navy accessories, and her shoulder spray was in gold tonings. When Mr and Mrs E. Tunnicliffe left by car for the south, the bride was wearing a black frock, and cyclamen coat, and black accessories.
