INDOOR BASKETBALL
LOCAL COMPETITIONS. FAST GAMES LAST NIGHT. The Indoor Basketball competitions were continued last night when several fast games were witnessed. The results were as follow: — WOMEN'S DIVISION. A grade. Woolworths 6 beat Stock and Station 0. C. Smith 10 beat Rovers 2. W.F.C.A. 8 beat Y.M.C.A. 6. Hugo and Shearer 2 beat Hospital 0. B Grade. State Kitchenette 6 beat Grahams (1. Hosiery 10 beat Garages 2. McKenzies 10 beat Cathies 1. MEN'S SECTION. Bouzaids 18 beat Reliance A 8. Vesta Batteries 15 beat State Kitchenette 11. Reliance B 15 beat W.F.C.A. 13. In the ladies' B grade McKenzies and Hosiery retained their places at the top of the ladder although their games against Cathies and Garages, respectively, were spirited and close. In the ladies' A section Woolworths gave Stock and Station their first beating of the season. The winners' defence was tod strong for the opposition attack and they thoroughly deserved their win. W.F.C.A. and Hugos just got home in their matches and the ultimate winner of this section is getting harder to pick. Reliance B and Vestas both maintained their positions in the men's grade" though neither without being extended to the utmost.
