The matter is to be brought up for further consideration at the next meeting of the committee. The Hawke's Bay Union wrote notifying that its senior team would leave Napier for Masterton on Friday; also extending thanks for the hospitality shown to the junior rep. team which visited Masterton on June 29. The question of arranging a junior rep. game against Wellington was brought up by Mr C. G. Gray. Mr Welch reported that owing tc several members of the Wairarapa College Pipe Band being engaged in hockey matches the band would not be able to play at the Memorial Park on Saturday. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 18. WAIRARAPA v HAWKE’S BAY. TOMORROW'S MATCH. The Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay senior teams will meet at Memorial Park tomorrow in a game which should provide plenty of thrills for the spectators. The visitors have a fast combination capable of giving the ball “plenty of air." while their forwards arc worthy representatives of a province which has produced so many outstanding players in recent years. Wairarapa has a team which should be capable ot extending the visitors to the utmost and the combination is probably the best that has represented Wairarapa for some seasons. The curtain raiser, commencing at 1.15 p.m., will be between the Old Boys’ seniors and the Puketoi sub-Union fifteen. This game should provide snappy football as both sides have good sets o! backs.
