WAIOURU CAMP
« CONSTRUCTION TO BE SPEEDED UP. TRANSFER OF CARPENTERS FROM HOUSING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI. This Day. Auckland. Wellington and Wanganui building contractors in charge of operations at Waiouru Camp have been advised that in order to release carpenters for urgent work in the camp. Government housing construction in Wanganui and other parts of the North Island is to cease, and that houses, where the roofs are on. will be left unfinished in the meantime. The contractors in Waiouru are concentrating on preparing sleeping and other accommodation for workmen.
