HAWKE'S BAY—WAIRARAPA MATCH. SATURDAY’S BIG ATTRACTION. Saturday’s match race between Hawke’s Bay and Wairarapa to be run at Akura Enclosure for the banner presented by the Wairarapa Coursing Club is creating a lot of interest among enthusiasts. The Bay dogs are expected to be a class lot and the local dogs will have a hard tussle to keep the banner in Masterton. Whichever club has the honour of winning, spectators are assured of a splendid day’s coursing. The hares are in great form and have undergone regular schooling. They will provide an excellent test for the fastest greyhounds in the competition. The Archer Cup for open dogs is expected to draw a gooC field. Dogs from Wellington and Hawke’s Bay will compete against the best local dogs for this handsome trophy. The banner to be competed for is now on view in Mr J. Bradbury’s window. A free bus will leave the Post Office at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday for the Plumpton. The first course will commence at 1.45 p.m. The draw takes piace tonight in the Y.M.C.A. rooms at 8.30 o’clock. The executive will meet at 7.30 to make final arrangements for Saturday's coursing and social evening.
