MANY ATTACKS

ON GERMAN LAND & SEA BASES DRIVEN HOME EFFECTIVELY. FOUR BRITISH BOMBERS LOST. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) RUGBY, July 2. The Air Ministry announced that R.A.F. bombers last night attacked the enemy naval base at Kiel, scoring many hits. Other bombers attacked the Homburg oil refinery, a viaduct at Hamm, an important target near Duis-' berg and a blast furnace at Meiderich, in the same area. An aeroplane factory at Dcichahausen, west of Bremen, was again attacked by bombers and damage was done to the works and to the adjoining aerodrome. Aerodromes at Wesel, Cologne and Venlo and a seaplane base at Texel were also effectively attacked. From all the operations four of our aircraft failed to return.
