GOLD MINING
COMPANY RETURNS. Worksop Extended dredge reports a return of 45 ounces from 10,300 cubic yards worked in 125 hours. Alexander Mines, Ltd., reports for the week ended June 27 as follows: — No. 5 level, intermediate drive: This face has been advanced eight feet, making a total of 75 feet from north rise. This face shows reef five feet wide of clean, solid ore. contained between two good walls and standing almost vertical. Gold can be seen in this stone after every firing. The leading stope above No. 0 on the south side of the connecting rise is also being taken off, the lode being small but of failvalue.
