HUNGARIAN ATTITUDE MODIFIED SUGGESTION TO RUMANIA. MUTUAL WITHDRAWAL OF FORCES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, July 2. The most interesting development in eastern Europe is the change in the attitude of the Hungarian Government toward Rumania. Reports of frontier clashes with Rumanian troops have been denied in official Hungarian circles. The Hungarian Cabinet, after a meeting lasting four hours, decided to suggest to Rumania that the armed forces of both countries should be withdrawn to a certain distance on each side of the frontier.
