MARINE COOKS & STEWARDS
STRIKE IN CALIFORNIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SAN FRANCISCO. June 30. The Marine Cooks and Stewards’ Union has called a strike to be effective at midnight against the Pacific American Shipowners’ Association. It would affect 175 ships, 5000 cooks and stewards, 20.000 other seafaring workers and 20,000 longshoremen.
