Mrs F. H. B. Townsend, of Miramar, spent the weekend in Masterton. Mrs M. Searle, of Pirie. Street, Wellington, was a weekend visitor to Masterton.
Miss Nicol. Wellington, was a recent guest at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton.
Miss N. Spackman, of Masterton, has left to take up her residence in Petone.
Mrs F. L. Farr, of Palmerston North, is visiting Pahiatua, and is staying with her mother.
Mrs R. Lepper, Featherston, was a guest at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, at the weekend. Mrs E. J. Bassett, of Essex Street, Masterton. has returned from a visit to Wellington.
The death occurred at Dannevirke on Friday of Mrs J. Stewart, mother of Mrs E. E. Etz, of Pahiatua. She was in her eighty-ninth year. The death occurred in Wellington on Friday of Mrs Alice Esther Packman, widow of Lieutenant J. E. Packman. She was formerly a well-known member of the Methodist Church in Gisborne and for many years was in the choir. She was also a past grand of the Rebecca Lodge.
