BRITISH ATTACKS

ON MANY ENEMY AREAS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE. FIVE MESSERSCHMITTS SHOT DOWN. On Saturday night, a Daventry broadcast states. British bombers attacked military objectives in Holland, Germany and France. A chemical works was left in flames and docks, marshalling yards and aerodromes were successfully attacked. Three British machines are missing. Yesterday morning a further attack was made on an enemy aerodrome and on machines on the ground. Three British aircraft failed to return. A patrol engaged a number of Messerschmitts and shot one down. In an attack on railway sidings in Germany fires were started among the rolling stock. On the return flight the British machines were attacked by a formation of Messerschmitt 109’s. British fighters intervened and shot down four. All the British machines returned.
