Eleven started. Long head. Time, 1.13?. Canterbury Handicap, nine furlongs—Highborn. 8.4( Gillard) 1; Bonnyloeh, 8.7 (Andrews) 2; Mabson. 7.6 (Whitney) 3. Seven started. Head; neck. Time, 1.55. MOONEE VALLEY STEEPLES TO SACHEM. HANDICAP WON BY ELLISON. At the Moonee Valley races the chief events resulted as follows:— ■ Williamstown Steeplechase, about 2 miles and half a furlong.—Sachem. 9.3 (McKee) 1; Manofayr, 9.2 (McMahon) 2; Rhymster. 10.7 (Douglas) 3.
