WAIRARAPA CLUB THIRTY MILE RACE. A WIN FOR J. HEAVEN. Saturday's event held by the Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club was a 30mile race to the top of Mr Bruce Hill and return, starting and finishing in Queen Street opposite Wallis’s Bakery. The weather was bitterly cold and a strong wind slowed the riders up considerably. J. Heaven won the event riding off the 3mm 30scc mark, while fastest time honours went to the scratch rider. K. Woollett. The following were the placings:— J. Heaven (3.30). 1: G. Simpson (3 mins). 2: A. Morris (5 mins). 3. Fastest time: —K. Woollett ,lhr 29min 45sec, 1; G. Simpson 1.32.42, 2; J.
