FLYING ACRE WINS AT TE RAPA

At the Dannevirke Hunt Club’s, meeting at Woodville on Saturday the chief event, the Kaitoke Handicap, provided a thrilling finish, resulting in a dead-heat between El Meynell and Gaelic Song. The Dannevirke Hunt Cup saw Ruenzori prevail over Love Lilt, while Hagen followed up his Otaki success by winning the Rakaratai Handicap. At Te Rapa Flying Acre caused a surprise by winning the Southern Queen Handicap. Young Paddon accounted for the Hamilton Handicap with Te Monowai and Te Takina in the minor places.
