FEILDING SALE. SHEEP VALUES ADVANCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING. June 28. Another good sale took place at Feilding today, both store and fat sheep showing further advances in values. The cattle market was unchanged. though the demand for beef was strong. Fat sheep: Some splendid quality ewes and wethers were yarded, and sold readily under keen competition at prices about 2s a head up on those of last week. Extra prime wethers made 31s Gd to 335; prime. 28s 6d to 31s: lighter. 24s 6d to 27s 6d. extra prime ewes. 24s Id to 25s 9d; prime. 21s to 23s 8d; lighter, 19s 6d to 20s lOd; unfinished. 14s 6d to 18s; prime heavy lambs. 23s 6d to 245; second grade, 20s; light. 15s to 17s 6d. Store sheep: Lambs were in strong demand, and where the quality was right prices davanced considerably. Breeding ewes also sold well at improved prices. Good wether lambs made 19s 2d; second quality, 16s 6d to 17s 6d; small, from Ils lOd; extra good ewe Jambs, 27s 3d to 28s 4d; smaller, 24s io 26s lOd; others, 19s 6d to 235; b.f., 16s 6d to 17s 9d; good two-tooth ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 28s 2d to 28s 6d; backward sorts, 19s 6d; two and fourtooth ewes, best, 30s; others, 26s 9d to 27s 6d; four and six-tooth ewes, 22s 8d; very good five and six-year ewes, 23s 9d to 24s lOd; plain, 18s 6d; soundmouthed. 18s 9d; forward wethers, 20s to 23s 3d. Store cattle: Works cows showed an advance in values, and all supplies were sold readily. Other lines were at unchanged rates. Works cows, heavy, made £4 to £5 Is; others, £2 10s to £3 15s; empty heifers, £4 Is; yearling steers, £4 12s 6d; three-year steers, £9 18s; yearling Jersey heifers, best, £4 3s; smaller, £1 15s to £2 15s; weaner steers, £2 6s.

Dairy cattle: The prices remained quite firm for dairy lines, a fairly heavy entry making a total clearance. Good springing heifers made £9 to £lO ss; second quality, £7 2s 6d to £8 15s; others, £3 10s to £6 10s; springing cows. £3 10s upward; cows in milk, £5 12s 6d. Fat cattle: A good quality entry of heifer beef made a strong appeal to butchers, but cows were not so keenly sought. Prime heifers made £8 14s to £9 15s; second grade. £7 10s to £8 10s; light, £4 10s to £6 12s 6d; light prime cows, £6 to £7; unfinished, £4 5s to £5 J ss; light steers, £6 10s to £8; runners, £2 15s to £5. Pigs: A good sale took place for all pigs, of which there was an improved entry. Good weaners made 10s to 225; slips, 26s 6d; stores, 325; porkers, 37s to 28s; and sows to farrow, £3 5s to £6 10s.
