SLIGHT DAMAGE DONE IN ENGLAND BOMBS DROPPED IN SOME AREAS. VERY FEW CASUALTIES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, June 28. Enemy raiders, flying at a great height, were heard over south-east and north-east England. Some were quickly driven back to sea by British fighters. Bombs were dropped in some areas. It is officially stated that enemy aeroplanes carried out bombing attacks over several districts in Britain during the night. No serious damage was caused. Casualties were very slight. The Ministry of Home Security states according to Daventry, that the Germans, in air raids over Britain, are using delayed-action bombs. A few German planes appeared over Britain on Thursday night. Very little damage was done and most of the German planes turned tail as soon as they were tackled by British fighters. On seven out of the past ten nights, German planes have raided Britain. The Germans have lost at least 19 bombers and their crews. 8.8. C. WARNING GERMAN CIVILIANS ADVISED TO TAKE COVER. LONDON, June 28. A 8.8. C. German language broadcast warned German civilians to take cover on the approach of British planes. “The British Air Force is fighting Nazism, not German civilians,” it stated. “As the Nazis do not sound a warning, it is essential that civilians should be warned from other sources.” NO DEATHS THREE CIVILIANS INJURED. (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, June 28. The Ministry for Home Security has announced that three civilians were injured in last night’s air raid but none were killed. Sixteen civilians were injured and none, killed in the raids of the night of June 26/27.
