ULTIMATUM PRESENTED BY SOVIET Cession of Bessarabia Demanded WITH OTHER TERRITORY AND PORTS RUMANIAN CROWN COUNCIL OFFERS TO DISCUSS DEMANDS It is confirmed in Bucharest, a Daventry broadcast states, that Russian troops have advanced far into Rumanian territory. Russia has presented an ultimatum demanding the cession of Bessarabia and the northern portion of Bukovina, and is also demanding control of Rumanian Black Sea ports. Unconfirmed reports state that Russian warships have entered the ports. The ultimatum is believed to expire on Thursday night. A statement issued by the Rumanian Crown Council states that the council had taken note of the demands and with a desire to maintain good relations with Russia, has asked the Soviet to fix a location and name the delegates to discuss the Russian demands. The Stefani Agency reports from Bucharest that M. Molotov has demanded the restitution of Bessarabia and cession of Northern Bukovina. VILLAGE BOMBED One Russian Plane Shot Down (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 27. The Associated Press of America Bucharest correspondent reports that the Rumanian Grand Council decided to accede to the Soviet ultimatum and cede Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina. The ultimatum is reported to expire at 8 p.m. today. The Associated Press of America reported from Cernauti that four Russian planes were fired on and one was shot down. Others bombed a village.
